Construction to Begin on New Hotel this Fall

Boone, N.C., June 12, 2017 … Hendrick Construction has been selected to serve as general contractor for the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Boone. Demolition is underway on the long vacant, deteriorating former Mountain Villa Motor Lodge at 2240 Blowing Rock Road to make way for the new hotel. Construction is set to begin in October on the 92-suite hotel with completion anticipated in the fall of 2018.

Located at the corner of Blowing Rock Road and Meadowview Drive, the 55,000-square-foot hotel will feature spacious suites with home office desks and full kitchens,  complimentary hot breakfast, a well-equipped business center, an indoor pool, fitness center and meeting room.

“TownePlace Suites offers guests everything they need for either a long-term stay for business or an overnight leisure visit,” said Roger Hendrick, president of Hendrick Construction. “We are excited to be a part of the group bringing the concept to life for visitors to Boone.”
